Frequently Asked Questions

What if there is an emergency and I need to see a vet right away?

The health and wellness of your pet won’t always run on schedule. If your pet needs care within business hours, the goal of our team will be to fit in an emergency appointment at either of our clinics. We can share information between each location to protect your pet through seamless care and services. Alternatively, 24/7 emergency vet hospitals such as the Veterinary Specialists of Sydney, the Small Animal Specialist Hospital and the Animal Referral Hospital are available to treat clients around the clock.

How much does a visit to the vet cost?

All veterinarian services have different costs, as each procedure and appointment have differing requirements. The price of services such as microchipping or preventative care will be less than those of an emergency nature, or surgical overnight care. This makes it hard for us to give a generalised answer of how much your veterinarian services will cost, but our friendly veterinarian assistants are more than happy to work with you to determine the cost of care for your pets. Simply contact us for more information, or to discuss payment options and pet insurance.

Will my pet be nervous?

Your veterinarian will take every care and effort to make your pet comfortable and to find a way to keep them calm and happy. Just as you may feel visiting a doctor, your pet may feel apprehensive about seeing a veterinarian, especially during an emergency situation. Each vet within our crew adores animals, working with care and passion to give your pet the attention and kindness that they deserve. We practice positive psychology and use tools that will mitigate anxiety and manage the stress along with the pain of our patients.

Additionally, we have a range of pain relief and soothing options to ensure your pet is kept comfortable while our veterinarian does their job. If need be, your vet will use the latest in safe anaesthetic and imaging technology so they can work quickly and efficiently.  Our veterinarian teams are accustomed to nervous pets, and you’ll find they will know exactly how to handle the situation.

What days are you open?

With two great options close by, Loftus locals can enjoy more appointment times and a greater amount of service choices. Our Sutherland vet clinic is open seven days a week, within a short drive or even a brisk walk from Loftus.

How do I book an appointment?

Booking an appointment is simple through our online booking system or a call to one of our local clinics. We are here for you and will have a real person answering the phone, without leaving you to decode menus or numbers.
